Cuddle baby chicks, baby donkeys, kid goats, baby lambs, young yaks and alpaca. Advanced registration is required by visiting eventbrite.com. Total Solar Eclipse Viewing Event
A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk. For our region, the best viewing time will be at approximately 2pm. Cost is $12 per person. Raven Hill Discovery Center- 4737 Fuller Rd., East Jordan. Morel Hunting Camp
Anthony Williams, expert in morel hunting, will give tips on how to look and find morels. This is sponsored by the Taylor Series at Christ Episcopal Church- 200 State St., Charlevoix, A reception will follow in the parish hall. It is open to the public at no cost.

Blooming With Song Spring Concert
The spring concert, featuring popular music from Broadway, film and the American Songbook, performed by the Northern Michigan Chorale. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and age 10 and under enter free. Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 3pm at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts- 800 Bay Harbor Dr., Bay Harbor, Petoskey.

Apple Fest. Held each year on the second weekend of October, Apple Fest turns downtown Charlevoix into a festive and fun place to be.
From haunted houses to trick or treating, Northern Michigan is full of Halloween’s fun activities during October.
This 3-day festival in Boyne City begins with a run along Lake Charlevoix and ends with fireworks, with food, fun, and more in between!
East Jordan’s Freedom Festival has food, music, fun, entertainment, carnival, dancing, and more. Fun for the whole family!

The Headlands, just west of Mackinaw City, is one of six International Dark Sky Parks in the U.S. and one of nine in the world.
The Harbor Springs History Museum offers a unique look at the history of the community, starting with the first Catholic missionaries.
Fisherman’s Island State Park has more than 2,600 acres and miles of gorgeous Lake Michigan beach and is located just south of Charlevoix.

Wilderness State Park’s 2,582 acres of natural area and 4,492 acres of wilderness area make this a great place to explore all year ’round.
Disc golf is hot everywhere and especially in Northern Michigan because of it’s many courses and beautiful scenery.
Young State Park outside Boyne City is a ‘year round delight for campers, hikers, snow lovers, swimmers and nature lovers.
Get off the ferry from Mackinaw City or St. Ignace to Mackinac Island and the first thing you’ll see is the historic downtown area.
