Mary Hramiec Hoffman's Artistic Talent Delights Many

What began as a childhood interest in art classes has lead to vibrant career as an artist. Mary Hramiec Hoffman began her artistic journey as a young child and continued through college and art school and a marketing job before coming full circle back to Little Traverse Bay where she grew up.

And lucky are the visitors and residents of Northern Michigan that Mary returned! Mary and husband Mark greet guests at Hramiec Hoffman Fine Art and Craft on M-119 heading into Harbor Springs. This bright green building--with a huge robin sculpture in front of it--is filled with Mary's whimsical and vibrant paintings.

Mary's touch with oils delivers a delicate sensitivity to her scenes of Northern Michigan. Her works have a blend of impressionism and vibrancy that brings the scenes to life from the canvas. She combines structure with spontaneity and loosely applied colors. She can create a breathtaking scene of Northern Michigan as well as the whimsical and popular "Happy" collection complete with polka dot skies.

In her gallery, visitors can find original oil paintings, giclees, prints, and books. Mary has written and illustrated children's books, The Boy Who Became Pope John II and Elizabeth Whitney Williams and the Little Traverse Light.

While Mary creates the art for the gallery, Mark runs the business. Mary exhibits at the July 4th Art Fair in Harbor Springs and the Charlevoix Art Fair.
