The local food movement is not a new trend in Northern Michigan. For decades, visitors have come Up North to dine on our specialties like planked whitefish or visit farm markets for our cherries or apples. Northern Michigan's unique climate makes the produce that grows here simply spectacular.
Visit one of Northern Michigan's city-supported Farmer's Markets in Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne City, Charlevoix or Indian River. Or visit one of the many farm markets where the food is grown. Local foods? You bet! This is the place for enjoying local foods!!

Boyne City Farmer's Market

The Boyne City Farmer’s Market is one of the best markets in the area. Products sold at the market are locally produced and include fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, flowers, baked goods, juried arts & crafts, and so much more. The market is located in Veterans Park, every Wednesday and Saturday, May 1 through October 31, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
Harbor Springs Farmer's Market

Enjoy the best of Northern Michigan's fruits and vegetables at this Farmer's Market in Harbor Springs. Baked goods, canned goods, plants, herbs, and more. This market is the place to wander and enjoy. Wednesdays and Saturdays, mid June-mid September, 8 a.m.- 12 p.m.
Indian River Growers' Market

Every Saturday, mid June-mid October, grower's from the Indian River area bring their produce to the Chamber of Commerce parking lot, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Tomatoes, potatoes, greens, peas, asparagus, beans, cucumbers, peppers....summer delights!
Petoskey Farmers Market
400 Block of Howard St, Petoskey, MI 49770, 231-347-4150
Fridays mid June-mid October, every Friday, 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., the 400 block of Howard St. between Mitchell and Michigan Streets becomes a farmer's market. Visit local producers and the bounty of fresh items that they have to offer from organic meats to fresh fruits and vegetables, and even flowers to finish the table off.
Pond Hill Farm

Feed farm animals and fish, squash rocket, café, weekend hayrides, u-pick berries, farm raised produce, CSA shares, garden plots, fall pig races, pumpkins, farm made canned goods, meats. Five miles north of Harbor on M-119.
